Because all preemies and newborns are different and need different pacifiers at different stages of development, Ryan & Rose created not just one but TWO preemie pacifiers!
The Preemie Kit is designed for both preemies AND newborns offering a Preemie Tiny version for those first few weeks as well as a Preemie Stage 1.
Ryan & Rose learned through developing this Preemie pacifier that Preemies need different pacifiers at different stages of development. Additionally, they learned that Preemie babies only need the tiny nipple up until 35 weeks. After 35 weeks, they should begin the transition to a standard stage 1 nipple. Hence why I created the Preemie Kit!
The Preemie Kit includes:
Cutie Preemie Tiny: For babies up to 35 weeks
Cutie Preemie Stage 1: For babies over 35 weeks.
Both the Cutie Preemie Tiny and the Cutie Preemie Stage 1 feature a notched shield that allows room for breathing, CPAP tubes, ET tubes, tube feeding, etc. The slim shield and the small beaded design both ensure that the Cutie Preemie is lightweight.
Ryan & Rose strive to make parents’ lives easier with safe, high-quality, multi-functional Cutie products. Ryan & Rose understand life in the NICU can be stressful and they want to do whatever it takes to make it easier for both parents AND baby. Their goal with the Preemie Kit is to help parents transition their NICU babies to the Cutie PAT with ease.
If the baby is showing bottle-feeding cues before 35 weeks, they suggest moving up to the Cutie Preemie Round Stage 1 Nipple early.
Directions: Before FIRST use, sterilize the pacifier in boiling water for 3 minutes and let air dry. Before EACH use, wash with warm water and mild soap, and complete a pull test inspection by pulling the nipple in all directions. Check for damages such as cracks, tears, and/or excessive wear. If damaged, discard it immediately. Dishwasher safe, top rack only. Colorful foods, dyes and/or other liquids may cause discoloration and staining.
WARNING: To avoid a choking hazard, inspect before each use. If damaged, discard it immediately. The nipple should be sucked on as a means to soothe, not chewed. For safety and hygiene, replacing after 4 weeks of use is recommended. Do not use if the baby has teeth. Do not use without adult supervision. Do not tie it around a child's neck. Only use pacifier clips that are CPSC compliant.
